The 2026 Bahamas International Film Festival is creating another important space for storytellers through its Screenwriter’s Residency, bringing established writers, directors, producers, and industry professionals together with emerging voices.
This year’s mentors include Neil LaBute, Geoffrey Fletcher, Victoria Mahoney, Mick Davis, Jib Polhemus, Kate Gondwe, Nate Kohn, and Andrew Dosunmu—representing experience across writing, directing, producing, acquisitions, and development.
Taking place December 7–9 on Harbour Island, the residency reflects something we believe strongly at HODB: access to experienced people can change the trajectory of a creative career.
